Translation of terminologies and equivalence-finding have always been a great concern for translators. This requires translators to have enough knowledge of structural strategies related to word formation. Equivalence-finding for terminologies is an important factor in translation studies because terms need to be translated and the translation requires finding the equivalence. The present study is an attempt to find the most common structural strategies in English to Persian translational equivalence of terminology in Business Management and to compare the two most common dictionaries Oxford Dictionary and Business Dictionary- to guide terminology translators and give them a hint on finding the equivalence of Business Management terms. Two Business Management dictionaries (Oxford Dictionary of Business and Management and Business Dictionary) were analyzed using Sager s terminology formation model in order to identify the most frequent strategies used in equivalence-finding of Business Management terms. The researcher randomly selected 374 terms from these dictionaries in order to detect the type and frequency of structural strategies utilized by the translators and then the selected terms were analyzed to determine whether there is a difference between strategies used in the dictionaries. The categories of term formation according to Sager s Term Formation Model are: derivation, compounding, borrowing, use of Simile, creating a new syntax group, shift of meaning, compression, new creation and conversion. The results of the study showed that the use of simile (34 percent) and creating a new syntax group (29 percent) were the most common strategies. Although use of simile is use more common in Business dictionary, it is shown that use of simile and creating a new syntax group are the two most common strategies in both dictionaries The findings of this study can be used as a summative guide for prospective terminology translators to decide upon the suitable structural strategies to be used for similar translations.
